THIS SATURDAY is the GRAND OPENING DAY for the FALL FESTIVAL!

Saturday September 24 at 9:00am is opening day and time. To celebrate harvest and food, Waterman's wants to stock the pantry! We will give you $1.00 off admission if you bring a canned good (up to 3 cans per admission). We will stock the pantry with those canned goods to help a local pantry fight hunger. Click here to learn more about the special opening celebration activities in place during the whole first week of the Fall Festival. We are also packing the pantry and offering this discount at the gate on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Earn your holiday money and have fun at the farm too! Applications are still being accepted for employment during the Fall Harvest Festival.

Season passes for the Fall Harvest Festival are available at the discounted price of $10 until September 30, when passes will sell for $15.

If your backyard always has the kids in the neighborhood, just pack them in the minivan and head on out to the farm to learn and have fun. Just come on out.

Teachers schedule now for field trips!  If you are a parent, you can let your summer child care provider know that Waterman’s educational programming is a solid way for young people to know what a farmer has to do in order to grow healthy food to eat. Your group can sign up today for a visit tomorrow!

Birthday parties and corporate outings are being scheduled NOW. Do not delay in making your reservation as our calendar is filling up fast for one great event after another during the Fall Harvest Festival.

In the Market

Tomato season is still on and we have all your canning supplies! Order your case of canning tomatoes by calling the market.

Our fall crops, including pumpkins, acorn and butternut squash and decorative gords are now available in the market.

Has your family had corn on the cob yet? Waterman's still has our own homegrown INCREDIBLE YELLOW, bi-color and white sweet corn in the market right now.

We have greens, tomatoes, peppers, beets in our U-Pick field that are awesome. Market fresh produce includes; cabbage, beets, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, apples, acorn and butternut squash and remember Waterman's own SWEET CORN!!!!

We want to thank our devoted customers.  We grow produce for Central Indiana to take home to eat, freeze and preserve for enjoyment all year long.

In order to make sure all people have access to fresh food, Marion County WIC offers farmer's market vouchers that can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables.  We are pleased to participate in this program that encourages consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables for pregnant and nursing mothers and children under 5 years of age.  These can be redeemed at our farm market during regular business hour, seven days/week.  This summer on Saturday, July 16th and September 17, 2016 representatives of the Health Department were at our farm to distribute vouchers to eligible people. Many people with young children were served on that day.  We make sure all people have access to healthy produce through this community collaboration. To determine whether you might be eligible for the WIC program, go to www.wic.in.gov or call 317-221-7401 to find a clinic near you.

(L-R) Lt. Gov. Sue Ellsperman, Taylor Waterman and Carol Waterman
at the announcement today of the Indiana Grown Initiative,
which took place at Waterman's Family Farm.

Indiana Grown will make it easier for consumers to find and purchase agricultural products grown, produced and processed in Indiana. The initiative will connect businesses that use or sell Indiana products -- such as restaurants, grocers, wholesalers, processors and farmer's markets -- with Indiana based producers. Look for Indiana Grown decals, kiosks and logos highlighting products grown, produced and processed in the Hoosier State.

We're pleased and proud that our farm was selected for this important announcement!
